The only time you ever drink Chinese Tea is probably when you eat at the local Chinese restaurant. This piping hot beverage is always served in unlimited amounts to complement your meal of pork fried rice, spring rolls, chow mein; and whatever else you had the urge to scarf down. In most cases, the actual tea these restaurants offer is both bitter and strong; however, it is important to note that this is not the only type of Chinsese Tea available. In fact, there are many different varities.

Although there are many varieties of tea included in this group, green tea is by far the most popular form on the market today. Green tea has become popular due to the many health benefits it is believed to possess. Health benefits are also found in other varieties including white tea, oolong tea and black tea. For years experts have believed tea to have health benefits and it has long been used in herbal medicines and for cooking. Given the rise in popularity of tea drinking, many people have taken notice of this fact. It is now considered healthy to take up the habit of drinking several cups of tea per day. And when you think about it, there really is no easier habit to start. All you have to do is drink up.

What if you have decided to start a better diet, perhaps to complement your exercise routine, and you want to start purchasing a healthy tea to go with it? No problem. There are a number of places where you can find good drinking teas. Today, grocery stores are stocking more and more gourmet teas, which means you can get many healthy Chinese Teas without sailing to the orient. Whatever type of Chinese tea you choose to drink, know that you are not only participating in an enjoyable activity but also a healthy one.
